Riess edition Alpenemaille®

Alpenemaille® – Tradition and functionality purely moulded with enamelled steel

The purity of the mould is the result of a high degree of fine craftsmanship, but above all by the use of enamelled steel – a material for maximum creative freedom. The components are produced by highly qualified employees with a high proportion of manual production. The material thicknesses range between 1 and 3mm. This allows a wide variety of shapes and the light and filigree appearance of many Alpenemaille® products.

Manufacture for freedom of design

Through the manufacturing process, many products are individually customisable for custom designs and it takes many manual steps until a piece of distinctive enamel leaves our house. For all products you can choose from 15 different colours and their combinations. RAL colours and individual logo printing are also available. The wafer-thin surface is characterised by its brilliant colours and high resilience and durability. The naturally water-repellent surface protects against dirt and limescale and is thus particularly easy to clean. The antibacterial enamelling automatically prevents the proliferation of bacteria.

Unique product range

The final product barely reveals any of this elaborate manufacturing process, and apart from the estimated visible properties, there are a whole range of hidden qualities – hygienic, nonporous, hard, closed and absolutely lightproof. The Alpenemaille® collection offers basins, enamel wall coverings and various custom-made products. We produce flexibly and try to fulfil all wishes, no matter whether for 1 piece or 1000. When selecting raw materials, attention is paid not only to quality but also to short transport routes and environmentally friendly means of transport. This strengthens the region and protects the environment.

RIESS enamel – from the ironmonger to the design shops

The roots of this traditional company go back to 1550. At that time, the original pansmith was founded in Ybbsitz in the Lower Austrian Mostviertel. In 1922 they began with the production of high quality cookware made of enamel. In between are centuries of Austrian economic history. RIESS Enamel, works daily balancing tradition and modernity. Inconspicuous, but always different from the others – this is also how RIESS, one of the oldest companies in Austria and the last domestic manufacturer of enamelware, operates.
